With your support, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are becoming leaders, active agents of change, and compelling advocates for the disability rights movement through Best buddies Leadership programs — our second pillar of inclusion at Best Buddies

Meet Best Buddies Ambassador, Zach. He joined Best Buddies during his first year of high school and his involvement has continued to grow over the past 12 years.

In 2018, Zach was selected as Best Buddies in Indiana's Advocate of the year. Zach says:

"The leadership opportunities I have through Best Buddies have helped people see me for who I am, and allowed me to see others for who they are—disability or not. Being part of this organization just gets better with each passing year, and my life would not be the same without it."

As the unemployment rate across the country continues to rise, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are being severely impacted. However, amidst the grim statistics are shimmers of hope from Best Buddies Jobs participants, like Jordan, whose lives YOU have positively impacted.
